Why We Do It

Vision

CBHA envisions

  • a future where a New Hampshire citizen of any age with a mental illness or emotional disorder will recover and achieve a productive life of their choosing in their community;
  • a future in which all societal stigma related to a mental illness/emotional disorder will be eliminated
  • and a future when mental illness/emotional disorders will be detected at their earliest beginnings or prevented from occurring altogether

Mission

CBHA strives to prevent, identify and treat mental illness/emotional disorders in close collaboration with the citizens of New Hampshire, including those persons affected by such illness or disorder, their families and loved ones, their communities and public policy-makers.

Purpose

It is the purpose of CBHA to identify and implement effective prevention, treatment (including, but not limited to evidence-based practices) and other support interventions that lead to early identification of and the recovery of persons with a mental illness or emotional disorder.
